about

Having 30+ albums on here, most of which were not good, was getting silly. I decided to make a compilation of the things I thought were worth keeping, and I deleted the rest from my page, and I did not keep copies. Oh well.

Some of the songs have been re-titled, as a lot of my old titles were weird jokes that I did because it was easier to pretend it was a joke than treat it as something I cared about.

Some of my albums have no tracks represented on here. That is because they are bad.

All of the songs are presented in their original versions except "chamber piece 1" from lower. I think the original version, while having some merit, was me trying too hard to emulate the Wandelweiser group, and at the end of the day the idea comes across even with the sounds amplified and the silences shortened.

There are 5 discs. Disc 1 is the "best of", the tracks I am proud of beyond all others. Disc 2 is for the house / dance tracks. Disc 3 is ambient music. Disc 4 is "beats", whatever that broad category means. Disc 5 is the experimental bullshit that didn't fit other places. All are an hour long, give or take. The names of the album and all the discs are taken from Laura Kasischke's poetry, with each disc being titled from a line in a poem that was important to me when I lived in the place from the map on the cover. I'm sorry it's not easier to tell which disc is which, Bandcamp doesn't really have a feature for that, but the album art is different for each, and it's in the track notes. I added the track numbers to the titles so you can tell on the app or site, but please delete those if you download them. They are not part of the titles.

I originally wanted to make extensive liner notes with details for every song, but I realized if I stuck to that, I'd never finish this project. So here's just the music.

Thank you if you download this.
